To commemorate his father's service during World War II, my customer had a folded Union Jack flag framed, along with an engraved nameplate.  His father was from Newfoundland, which at the time of World War II was not part of Canada.  So, that was why the Union Jack flag was displayed rather than the Canadian flag.
