Tom Brady Football Jersey Shadow Box
My customer wanted to have an autographed Tom Brady football jersey (New England Patriots) framed as a surprise for her partner's birthday. He is a huge Tom Brady fan and she wanted to give him something special to show her appreciation for his love and support. Included with the jersey is a certificate of authenticity and an engraved nameplate.
The certificate of authenticity was encapsulated with archival clear polyester film. Since the certificate was quite small (approximately 3" square), it was floated above a red mat background, and a small grey mat was added in order to give the certificate more prominence when floated above the bottom portion of the jersey.
The narrow and wide flat profiles from Framerica’s Black Executive Leather collection were combined to create a shadow box deep enough for displaying the jersey. Grey conservation grade mats from Peterboro Matboards were used and Tru Vue's conservation clear glass was chosen to provide 99% UV protection and help slow down any fading.
Many thanks to my twin sister, Ellen, who took on the task of finishing up this jersey shadow box for me when I suddenly developed health issues. With my instruction, and a little help when I could, she did a fantastic job! She was just as particular as I am and I knew she would do as good a job as I could.
My customer was thrilled with how the shadow box turned out when she picked it up, and let me know that her partner was equally as thrilled with his birthday gift.
