My customer wanted to frame his father's hockey jersey from his time playing for the American Hockey League's Springfield Kings in the late 60's - early 70's. A team hockey puck as well as a photo of his father and engraved brass nameplate were also included in this shadow box. Tru Vue's conservation clear glass was chosen to help slow down any further fading of the jersey and photo.
As you can see from highlighted areas in the close-up photo of the collar, the jersey required some mending prior to framing. Other large tears on the sleeve and torso of the jersey were repaired as well, but smaller ones were left as is to retain the vintage, well-worn look of the jersey.
