First Wedding Anniversary Gift
My customer wanted to give his wife a very special gift for their first wedding anniversary. He commissioned local artist, Robert Davis, to paint a scene from a beach that held special meaning for the couple. The couple had known each other for 30 years but it wasn't until recently that they reconnected and married.
A Larson-Julh moulding and matching fillet from their Vermont line was chosen to compliment the rustic feel of the beach painting. The fillet was stacked inside the frame moulding and also used as an accent underneath the top mat.
The customer had a poem that he wrote for his wife etched on the left hand side of the glass of the frame. This is a close-up of the etched poem.
