2015 Cdn. University Golf Tournament Shadow Box
This was a shadow box that I did for Christmas 2015, which was given as gift from my customer to his daughter. My customer, as well as the rest of the family, was so proud of Brynn Tomie for winning the 2015 Canadian University/College Golf Tournament. He wanted to have her gold medal and photo framed as a keepsake of her accomplishment. Brynn represented the University of Victoria and the win earned her the opportunity to represent Canada at the FISU World University Games held in Korea in July 2015.
The mat colours were chosen to complement the colours of the medal (grey/silver maple leaf logo and red ribbon). The medal was attached using a 'spider mount' made from archival clear polyester film and the ribbon was hand-stitched in place. A classic black bevel moulding from Roma Mouldings was chosen for the frame and Tru Vue’s Museum glass was chosen for its 99% UV protection and amazing clarity.
