The medal is held in place with a piece of archival clear polyester film (Melinex #516), cut in the shape of the medal, with ‘legs’ passed through to the back of the matboard. The Melinex appears almost invisible and provides an effective, reversible, mounting method. The ribbon is held in place with a few strategic stitches, with the majority of it hidden behind the back of the matboard.

A classic black shadow box frame was paired with blue and yellow conservation grade mats, which were chosen to represent the team colours.
